Elro: manufacturer of series-built control panels

In 2002, Elma Romania has established a sister company named Elro SRL. This step was to respond to two major developments in the market:

• The customers of Elma require more and more a low cost assembly facility;
• It is getting harder and harder to find skillful technical employees in the Netherlands.

Elro is founded in Constanta, the sister city of Rotterdam and the gateway to Eastern Europe. Constanta is located near the Black Sea where many ports and shipyards are situated, traditionally a well-known working area for Elma. Over the years the company has developed itself into an organization employing over 30 technicians and is also ISO9001 certified. The activities of Elro are divided over two business units:

• Elro Projects and
• Elro Trade

Elro focuses on the Western European market:

• Assembling of large and small series cabinets and control panels;
• Engineering and assembling of custom made drive- and control panels.

Furthermore the company sells among others control equipment like joysticks, control chairs and radio remote control units on local Romanian market.
