Repair and overhaul of a generator

The steps a standard repair and overhaul contract of a damaged generator follows due overheating:

Step 1: An entry inspection and a report with recommendations.

Step 2: The generator is placed in the burn-out oven, where the insulation and binder yarns are burned.

Step 3: the coils are pulled out of the stator, the generator is cleaned and rebuilt.

Step 4: the slots are provided with insulation and the new coils are replaced.

Step 5: the insulation and the auxiliary windings are placed.

Step 6: the windings and the wiring is connected in the terminal box.

Step 7: the insulating layer is disposed in the immersion bench and the generator enters into the drying oven. This process is repeated a number of times.

Step 8: the generator is assembled again and installed on the test bench.

Step 9: After approval the quality controller releases the documents.
